My own fairy tale... WITHOUT PRINCE CHARMING

"And then the princess found herself locked in a tower surrounded by a stinky moat with crocodiles and a huge scary dragon guarding the door," read the mother, with her eyes wide and voice deep.
Then, she made a sad face and continued softly, "So, the poor princess waited and waited for her prince to come--"

"But, why was she waiting for the prince, mumma?!" asked the little girl, impatiently.

The mother added, "To come and save her, silly."

"But, mumma, why did she need a prince to save her?" the girl asked again.

"Uhh... hmm..." the mother was at a loss of words.

The little girl said proudly, "If it were me, instead of waiting for years and years for a prince, I would have tamed the dragon and flew out of the window. I would have rescued myself."

She discarded the book and walked away, "This princess is stupid."

The mother whispered with a broad smile, "I guess it is time to rewrite a fairy tale.

Its time for modern fairy tale

Lets teach our daughters to be self sufficient & independent rather than waiting for a prince or a miracle to happen to them.

Parenting

To all parents and even grandparents, as well as teachers, here are some unnbelievably simple parenting ideas that work.

1. Children need a minimum of eight  touches during a day to feel connected to a parent.

If they’re going through a particularly challenging time, it’s a minimum of 12 a day. This doesn’t have to be a big deal; it could be the straightening of a collar, a pat on the shoulder or a simple hug.

2. Each day, children need one meaningful eye-to-eye conversation with a parent.

It is especially important for babies to have that eye contact, but children of all ages need us to slow down and look them in the eyes.

3. There are nine minutes during the day that have the greatest impact on a child:

the first three minutes right after they wake up
the three minutes after they come home from school
the last three minutes of the day before they go to bed
We need to make those moments special and help our children feel loved.
These are simple, right? Nothing really earth-shattering here.

Try it.
1⃣ Whenever u feel like scolding or beating your child, take a deep breath, or count 1-10 and then act.
2⃣ Let's ask them to study their favorite subject on their own..
3⃣ Send them to one exam without studying at all..
4⃣ Remember what our kids are learning in 5th std is taught to 7th std abroad..
5⃣ Lets keep our kids out of unwanted competition.
6⃣ 80% of what kids are learning ,won't be useful to them in future..
7⃣ Our kids can really afford to do whatever they want to do in future .
8⃣ Higher degrees don't guaranty success and happiness..
9⃣ Not all the highly educated people do well professionally.
And not all who do well professionally are the happiest ones..
Kids are always in a party mood.. don't spoil their childhood. Support and let them be what they want to be.

Pass this on to as many teachers and parents as u can..
And change the way we look at our kids and their future.

Indian women's are most stressed.... Article of Chetan Bhagat for Indian women

Chetan Bhagat responded to a report by Neilsen that stated that Indian women were the most stressed. His letter is heart warming and you must read that..

A study by Nielsen recently revealed that Indian women were the most stressed in the world. It stated that an overwhelming 87 percent of Indian women felt stressed most of the time, and 82 percent reported that they had no time to relax.

So when this news came out, popular author Chetan Bhagat penned a heart-warming piece for a local daily for all Indian women. It is one that you must read if you are also struggling to juggle between multiple roles at home and work.

This is what he wrote:

“Alright, this is not cool at all. A recent survey by Nielsen has revealed that Indian women are the most stressed out in the world: 87% of our women feel stressed out most of the time. This statistic alone has caused me to stress out. Even in workaholic America, only 53% women feel stressed.

What are we doing to our women? I’m biased, but Indian women are the most beautiful in the world. As mothers, sisters, daughters, colleagues, wives and girlfriends – we love them. Can you imagine life without the ladies?

For now, I want to give Indian women five suggestions to reduce their stress levels.

One, don’t ever think you are without power. If your mother in law doesn’t like you. Leave her views for her. Be who you are, not someone she wished you would be. She doesn’t like you? That’s her problem.

Two, if you are doing a good job at work and your boss doesn’t value you -tell him that, or quit. Talented, hard-working people are much in demand.

Three, educate yourself, learn skills, network – figure out ways to be economically independent. So next time your husband tells you that you are not a good enough wife, mother or daughter-in-law, you can tell him to take a hike.

Four, do not ever feel stressed about having a dual responsibility of family and work. It is difficult, but not impossible. The trick is not to expect an A+ in every aspect of your life. You are not taking an exam, and you frankly can’t score cent per cent (unless you are in SRCC, of course). It is okay if you don’t  do four dishes for lunch, one can fill their stomach with one. It is okay if you don’t work until midnight and don’t get a promotion.

Nobody remembers their job designation on their dying day.

Five, most important, don’t get competitive with other women. Someone will make a better scrapbook for her school project than you. Another will lose more weight with a better diet.

Your neighbor may make a six-dabba tiffin for her husband, you don’t – big deal.

Do your best, but don’t keep looking out for the report card, and definitely don’t expect to top the class. There is no ideal woman in this world, and if you strive to become one, there will be only one thing you will achieve for certain – stress.

So breathe, chill, relax. Tell yourself you are beautiful, do your best and deserve a peaceful life.

Anybody trying to take that away from you is making a mistake, not you. Your purpose of coming to this earth is not to please everyone. Your purpose is to offer what you have to the world, and have a good life in return. The next time this survey comes, i don’t want to see Indian women on top of the list. I want them to be the happiest women in the world.

Cherish Womanhood!!

Meaning of marriage and Love

Meaning of Marriage and Love

A student asks a teacher, "What is love?"

The teacher said, "in order to answer your question, go to the wheat field and choose the biggest wheat and come back.

But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick."

The student went to the field, go thru first row, he saw one big wheat, but he wonders....may be there is a bigger one later.

Then he saw another bigger one... But may be there is an even bigger one waiting for him.

Later, when he finished more than half of the wheat field, he start to realize that the wheat is not as big as the previous one he saw, he know he has missed the biggest one, and he regretted.

So, he ended up went back to the teacher with empty hand.

The teacher told him, "...this is love... You keep looking for a better one, but when later you realize, you have already miss the person...."

"What is marriage then?" the student asked.

The teacher said, "in order to answer your question, go to the corn field and choose the biggest corn and come back.

But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick."

The student went to the corn field, this time he is careful not to repeat the previous mistake, when he reach the middle of the field, he has picked one medium corn that he feel satisfy, and come back to the teacher.

The teacher told him, "This time you bring back a corn.... You look for one that is just nice, and you have faith and believe this is the best one you get.... This is marriage.

Poetry on relation

A poetry for every Kind of relation

Respect each other.
Never stop communication with each other.
Ignore mistakes.
Avoid ego.

Be happy and live happily

Mom i will improve...

Little Aditya, was in tears. He is an 8 year old boy. His Mom was shouting at him, as he has not completed his math homework, even after an hour. Aditya's parents are Ruchi, and Rishi. Both are working in MNC's. Ruchi took a career break of 5 years, to take care of Aditya. Now, she had joined her office again from a junior level, whereas all her friends have moved to the senior level. When Rishi, entered the home, Aditya was in tears, Ruchi was shouting at him. “What is 8 * 6, Adi, come on, I taught you tables twice yesterday, still you are unable to remember. What am I supposed to do? You remember all cartoon stories, but not one simple tables”.

Aditya tried to remember a lot, he couldn't remember anything, and he thought it may be 48, but he was scared to tell his mom, what if it is wrong, she will get upset. He thought to himself, “Mom, I will Improve”. He didn’t know how. He wanted to, he wanted to see his mother happy.

When, he was in the younger classes, He used to win, many prizes in different competitions. He and his mother were very happy. As he grew up, suddenly he felt he was pushed in a complex world, he couldn't grasp many things, and his fellow students could do. He went to meet doctors and counselors, his mother thought he was sick. He was not sure whether he was sick or not. May be he has a poor memory like his mom and teachers say. He was not able to make a decision. Tonight, his father has come early from the office. He was happy. He will rescue him.

Soon as his father, freshened up, he gave a hug to Aditya. To Aadi’s relief, he said with a huge smile, “Go and play”. He was happy, but he looked at his mother with wide eyes, and said slowly,” Dad, I didn’t complete my homework!” His father, replied, “I will do it, don’t worry.” Aadi, again gave a bear hug and ran outside to play with his friends. Ruchi was upset. She retorted angrily,”Will you go and write his exams too?”

After Aditya left, Rishi, hugged Ruchi, “Why are you so tensed dear. He will pick up, don't worry”. Ruchi was upset,” Do you think you love him more than, me, what is the point you want to prove? You never attend the Parent Teachers Meeting, I have to listen from teachers, and I need to face the other parents. You just don't need to face anything”.

Rishi kept quiet, “Ruchi, do you think, by shouting at him, things would improve. You thought, he may have some learning disabilities, but the psychologist proved there is nothing like that. All children are not same”.Ruchi replied back, “But I am spending so much time with him. I am always teaching him, each and everything, still what do you expect me to do?”

Rishi, smiled and said,” I expect you, not to expect anything from him. Don’t expect him to learn things faster, don’t expect him to be like you.” Ruchi retorted back angrily,” I am not expecting him to get first prize in everything like me, but at least he shouldn’t be so dull. Now he is 3 rd std and he is not sure about 5*5=25, how his life will be. All his friends, will reach a good position in life, what his life will become? I am so scared. Rishi, I put in so much hardwork on him, still why he is not getting marks?”

Rishi kept quiet. Ruchi, always wanted the best. She was always best in whatever she did, the fact she didn't understand is Aadi is the best child. He is very friendly with everyone, always tries to help others. He was hoping, Ruchi will find her answer soon.

After few days, his paternal aunt, Durga Bua, came to visit them. Her son has settled in US. She occasionally visits India,to visit her relatives. After many years, she has come to visit them. Ruchi loves Durga Bua, everyone loves her for her soft words and naïve nature. She was playing with Aadi and commented to Ruchi, “Aadi is a very good boy”. For which Ruchi, replied in a dull voice.” Hmmmm”.she sensed something wrong, but didn’t ask anything.

After Aadi left, she asked, “what happened Ruchi?”. Ruchi shared her worries with her aunt. She listened everything carefully. She went to the small garden which Ruchi maintains in her balcony, and said,” I observe you have a beautiful garden. How do you maintain them? Ruchi replied happily,” I take personal care, bua”. Her aunt said, “Why is this aloe Vera plant, shorter than others, is it a new plant, or you are not watering them properly?” Ruchi whispered, “No, aunt, I have planted it a year back. I take care of them properly, few plants grow faster and few takes time”.

Then, aunt asked, “What do you do then? Do you tell the shorter plant, daily, grow up, look at the other plants, otherwise your life would be of no use or you nurture them slowly that it takes time in growing and you still love them”.

Ruchi felt something snap in her. She looked at her aunt, with tears in her eyes.

Durga Bua, said,” There are 7 types of learning skills for a child, few learn by looking, few by hearing, few by explaining, few understand things by doing activities, and few learn by practically doing the same things again and again. A mother or teacher should try to teach a child, all the 7 methods, and then understand the child’s best learning language and teach accordingly. You can’t think. Your child is dull. Each and every child is unique and special. Can’t you see Aadi is trying everything to make you happy? He loves you so much. If you nurture him now, it is good for both of you. If he accepts, he is dull and turns to be a loser, what will you do?”

Ruchi shuddered by the thought,” Understand your child and help him to understand things. I know you are very busy and Rishi doesn’t help you. Still I am sure, once you are clear and support, Aadi, Rishi will try his level best to help you. Just try. It is always too soon to quit with your child.”

Ruchi kept quiet, deep in her thoughts. Durga bua knew, she will find a different family, when she visits them again.

Chaap tilak by Amir Khusro

A very famous poetry by the great poet.... AMIR KHUSRO

Chhap tilak sab cheeni ray mosay naina milaikay
Chhap tilak sab cheeni ray mosay naina milaikay

Prem bhatee ka madhva pilaikay
Matvali kar leeni ray mosay naina milaikay

Gori gori bayyan, hari hari churiyan
Bayyan pakar dhar leeni ray mosay naina milaikay

Bal bal jaaon mein toray rang rajwa
Apni see kar leeni ray mosay naina milaikay

Khusrau Nijaam kay bal bal jayyiye
Mohay Suhaagan keeni ray mosay naina milaikay

Chhap tilak sab cheeni ray mosay naina milaikay

Translation

You've taken away my looks, my identity, by just a glance.
You've said the unknown, by just a glance.
By making me drink the wine from the love of devotion
You've intoxicated me by just a glance;
My fair, delicate wrists with green bangles in them,
Have been taken off by you with just a glance.
I give my life to you, Oh my cloth-dyer,
You've dyed me in yourself, by just a glance.
I give my whole life to you Oh, Nizam,
You've made me your bride, by just a glance.
You've said the wonder, by just a glance.

NO ONE EVER SEES... BUT, LITTLE EYES SEE A LOT ..

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING...

A message every adult should read because children are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my
first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately
wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed the birds in winter, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make my
favourite cake for me, and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good, and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hold the door open for others and heard 'thank you' and 'you're welcome', and I learned respect for others.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, and it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be..

When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of
life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I looked at you and
wanted to say, Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.'

THIS MESSAGE IS FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE I KNOW WHO DO SO MUCH FOR OTHERS, BUT THINK THAT NO ONE EVER SEES. LITTLE EYES SEE A LOT ..

Each of us (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher, friend) influence the life of a child.

Life & choices

One of the BEST story...

*A group of friends  visited their old university professor..*

Conversation soon turned to complaints about

*'STRESS' & 'TENSION' in Life..*

Professor offered them Coffee & returned from kitchen with Coffee in different kinds of cups !!!

(Glass Cups, Crystal Cups, Shining Ones, Some Plain Looking, Some Ordinary & Some Expensive Ones......)

When all of them had a Cup in Hand,

the professor said:-

"If you noticed-

all the Nice Looking & Expensive Cups are taken up,

leaving behind the ordinary ones !!

*Everyone of you wanted the Best CUPS,*

&

that is the source of your STRESS & TENSION !!

What you really wanted was

*_"Coffee", not the "Cup" !_*

But you still went for the Best Cup.

*If Life is Coffee ;*

*Then Jobs, Money, Status & Love etc. are the Cups !!!*

They are just TOOLS to hold and contain Life.

*Please Don't Let the CUPS Drive you !!*

*_Enjoy the COFFEE ......!!!_*

What is life ?
They say its from B to D...from *Birthday to Death*..But what's between B and D?
Its a " C " *Choice* ...

*Our life is a matter of choices...*
_Live well and it will never go wrong...._

Pura dukh aur aadha chaand

Pura dukh aur aadha chaand
Hijr ki shab aur aisa chaand

Din meN wahshat bahal gayi thi
Raat hui aur nikla chaand

Kis maqtal se guzra hoga
Itna sahmaa sahmaa chaand

YaadoN ki aabaad gali meN
Ghoom raha hai tanha chaand

Meri karwat per jaag uthey
NeeNd ka kitna kachcha chaand

Mere muNh ko kis hairat se
Dekh raha hai bhola chaand

Itnay ghanay baadal ke peechhe
Kitna tanha hoga chaand

AaNsu roke noor nahaaye
Dil dariya, tann sehra chaand

Itne roshan chehre per bhi
Suraj ka hai saya chaand

Jab paani meN chehra dekha
Tunay kisko socha chaand?

Bargad ki aik shaakh hata ker
Jaanay kisko jhaaNka chaand

Baadal ke resham jhoolay meN
Bhor samay tak soya chaand

Raat ke shaanoN per sar rakkhe
Dekh raha hai sapna chaand

Sookhay pattoN ke jhurmat per
Shabnam thi ya naNnha chaand

Haath hila ker rukhsat hoga
Uski surat hijr ka chaand

Sehra sehra bhatak raha hai
Apne ishq meN sacha chaand

Raat ke shayed aik bajey haiN
Sotaa hoga mera chaand !!

Feelings

Kaha gaya tu...

Kaha gaya tu....
Chod ke muje yu....
Kyu tanha kar gaya....
Iss tarah muje tu...

Teri haasi..
tera ghussa...
Aa fir se dikhaa jaa muje tu...
Mei jaruri hu tere liye....
Aake jata jaa muje tu...

Kaha gaya tu..
Chod ke Muje yu..
Kyu tanha kar gaya...
Iss tarah muje tu...

Dekh, aaj bhi wahi nazare hai...
Wahi chaand hai..
wahi sitaare hai...
Raat aadheri hai....
Aur sard haawaye hai...

Aise mausam mei...
Aa fir se jaga, apna ehsaas tu...
Le chal muje waha....
Johan, kabi mei yeh naa keh saku....

Ki...
kaha gaya tu....
chod ke muje yu...
Kyu tanha kar gaya...
Iss tarah muje tu...

Rula dia....

Aaj fir teri yaadon neh rula dia....
Naa chahte huye bhi palko ko bheega dia..
Din gujre, ya saadiyaan, yeh yaad nai muje....
Har lamhe mei teri yaadon neh muje marna sikha dia...

Kya karu... kya naa karu... Har baat mei tu yaad aata hai....
Bheed ki jagah ho...
Khushi ki dagar ho..
Har jagah tu tanha kar jaata hai....
Jaise tu chala gaya...
Apni yaad bhi saath kyu nai le jaata hai...
Yaa fir....
Muje rota dekh tuje sukoon sa mil jaata hai...?

Khaafa hu khud se....
Naraz hu khud se....
Aaj dil pooch raha kai sawal yeh khud se...
Kyu aaj fir teri yaadon neh juda kiya muje khud se....

Fir aashqo neh aakho mei ghar bana lia....
Kya bata payega tu???
Kyu Aaj fir teri yaadon neh rula dia....
Naa chahte huye bhi aashqo ko gira dia....

Sensible conversation....

Decide when u want to jump...

Put a frog into a vessel fill with water and start heating the water.
As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjust its body temperature accordingly.
The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore. At this point the frog decides to jump out.
The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature.
Very soon the frog dies.
What killed the frog?
Think about it!
I know many of us will say the boiling water. But the truth about what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when to jump out.
We all need to adjust with people & situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust & when we need to move on. There are times when we need to face the situation and take appropriate actions.
If we allow people to exploit us
physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally they will continue to do so.
Let us decide when to jump!
Let's jump while we still have the strength.
